About the Foundation
Traditional art historiography is often confined to the framework of national schools and chronological periods. This approach leaves transcultural exchange outside its field of view.

The foundation treats art history as a continuous process of interaction, in which monuments conventionally classified as isolated national phenomena are, in fact, the result of international integration.
Our mission
Culture presented as a closed fortress easily becomes an instrument of division. Understanding it instead as a product of continuous contact and dialogue builds resistance to notions of cultural exceptionalism. The foundation supports the integration of academic knowledge into public discourse to broaden international cultural dialogue, advancing a wider view of world heritage.

Collection
The formation of the collection follows the concept of the Silk Road heritage as a space of global exchange that shaped visual art through to the twentieth-century avant-garde. The collection serves as a research base and does not operate publicly.
