    About the Foundation

    foundation director alexander sheremetev
The Sheremetev & Partners Foundation (Stichting Sheremetev & Partners) is a private art foundation established in the Netherlands. Its work concerns the migration of artistic images, forms, materials and technologies between Eastern and Western traditions. For the Foundation, the Silk Road is a method of reading rather than a geography: a way of tracing connections between traditions that are usually studied apart. Through exhibitions, publications and lectures, the Foundation makes this research accessible both to specialists and to first-time visitors. The Foundation is directed by the art historian and curator Alexander Sheremetev.
